in my 'English Major' era

Poetry, for me, has always been about connection — the kind that happens in real time, in shared space. As a poet, I’ve had the joy of reading in bookstores, art galleries, schools, and small rooms where the silence between lines is just as important as the words.

I’ve collaborated with local orgs, mentored young writers, and continue to serve as my city’s Poet Laureate.

These pieces have lived on stages, in print, and in the hands of kind strangers. I hope they live a little with you, too.
